Necssary repair in-transit

Worked us in immediately when key broke in RV entry door in locked position. After 3 days of travel, we were trying to get back home during the COVID-19 pandemic. Kurt, the technician, was most courteous & understanding that we needed to keep social distance. He himself practiced good sense being gloved for his protection. Very quick efficient installation; were on our way in less than an hour. All service and parts staff helpful. Were able to use the RV for final night of travel to make it home. Otherwise, we could not have accessed the living space.
Now back home feeling much gratitude for your responsiveness and caring. Thank you.

They were willing to listen to what we wanted

Q06: What have they done to earn that rating? "They were willing to listen to what we wanted. Other dealerships 'heard' what we wanted, but then showed us what they wanted to show us. Bill Thomas listened. We explained to them our situation, that they either had it or they didn't. They listened, which was great."
Q07: Did SP contact to make sure everything is okay/referrals. No: "Not really. We've touched base on Facebook. I think that was more of just a social thing I think. The unit was winterized, so we haven't had a chance to use it yet. They are going to offer a class in April on how to de-winterize the unit. Hopefully, we're on the list. Everybody was really cool. They were very helpful. They were more than willing to answer questions, which is important."

Finally loving my Basecamp

Brought in my Basecamp after having another dealership try to fix it. I had many issues that I thought would never get fully addressed, minor, mostly, but the overall effect was infuriating. Brought it into your service department and Eric did some voodoo magic or just plain old unbelievable awesome work that, so far at least, had me super happy. The extra mile he went for me and the effort he put in are a rarity these days. He, and the help your service department gave me will be why I buy my next Airstream from you and made me regret not having done so originally. Our Sincere Appreciation To the Staff of Bill Thomas RV!
We discovered a problem with one of the wheels on our Airstream trailer. We then discovered that the certified Airstream service facility in our area was Bill Thomas. We had absolutely no idea– and very little hope–that we could obtain service on a walk-in basis, especially on a Monday afternoon. At the facility and were directed to the service scheduling area where we met Mr. John Buford. We told him of our plight, and rather than saying, “well folks there’s nothing we can do this afternoon” he began immediately to take notes and fill out a service plan. He then contacted the repair folks and immediately we were told to prepare our camper to be pulled into the service bay.

They pulled the camper into the service bay and he disassembled the wheel that I thought was giving us trouble. That wheel was fine, so he put it back together and, without us even asking, said he would take a look at the other wheel. When he did, it turned out that the problem was worse than we even thought. The interior of the wheel had completely disintegrated. If we had continued to drive on that wheel we might have lost it while going down the interstate, had a fire in the wheel, or simply had it go flat. At any rate we would have found ourselves stranded on the side of the road.
In three hours we had gone from completely stranded to back on the road again with a clean bill of health, and all this was due to the kindness and competence of the folks at Thomas RV. We wish to extend our deepest appreciation to Mr. Buford and all the other professionals at Thomas, and we highly, highly recommend that if others have trouble with their Airstream, take it straight to Bill Thomas!
